How Does Stationary Concrete Plant Work

There are two different control systems for stationary concrete plant: semi-automatic and fully automatic control system. Although the control system of the batching plant is different, the working process is similar.
The control system of small concrete batch plant is simple. Generally speaking, one control panel is enough, but large concrete mixing plant generally needs to use computer control technology including sensors, cables, I/O interface circuits, display panels,etc. The fully automatic control system helps to improve the management level and the working efficiency of the whole plant.
1. Aggregate weighing: The loader sends the aggregate to the aggregate bin. Each aggregate bin is weighed in sequence or simultaneously under a preset procedure.
2. Aggregate transportation: The weighed aggregate enters the concrete mixer with a bucket elevator or belt conveyor. A silo for the temporary storage is provided at the end of the belt conveyor, waiting for powder weighing.
3. Powder weighing: The powder is stored in the cement silo and directly enters the weighing hopper through the screw conveyor. The discharge door is controlled by pneumatic butterfly valve, air cylinder and other equipment. It will stop feeding after reaching the rated weight.
4. Mix all the materials: After weighing the powder, water and admixture, put all the raw materials into the mixing tank. The stationary concrete batch plant usually choose twin shaft concrete mixer. It has excellent mixing performance for many kinds of the concrete.
5. Discharging: The mixing time is 45s-60s. After mixing, the concrete will be discharged into the concrete mixer truck. Then, the concrete will be transported to the construction sites.
