Asphalt Drum Plant VS Batch Type Hot Mix Plant

According to the mixing methods, hot mix asphalt plant can be divided into batch type hot mix plant and asphalt drum plant. They have many differences in asphalt quality, application, constitution, price and migration method.
Asphalt Quality and Its application
The raw materials of asphalt produced by asphalt drum plant are asphalt and small stones while that of batch type hot mix plant is asphalt, small stones and mineral powder. The latter formula is more scientific, which contributes to the high quality of asphalt.
Therefore, batch type hot mix plant is applicable tor national ways, highways, airport, port,etc. Asphalt drum plant is only used to build low-grade roads like county roads.
Constitution of Asphalt Plant and Their Prices
A batch type hot mix plant has 12 big parts: cold material supply system, 
drying heating system,lifting system,screening system,measuring system, mixing system,dust removal system,powder supply system, asphalt supply system, finished product silo,pneumatic system and electrical control system
The constitution of asphalt drum mixing plant is much simpler. Since both the drying and mixing process are finished in the drum, it don’t have mixing system. Other parts can be removed if you like . It is because of the simple structure, the price of asphalt drum mix plant is much lower than batch mix plant price.
Migration Ways
No matter it is a batch type hot mix plant or asphalt drum mixing plant, it has two types: portable and stationary. Portable asphalt plant is of quick movement and fast installation. These plants might be transported to different job sites and operate under many conditions including freezing weather and hot weather. Stationary asphalt mixing plant is of large capacity ranging from 80t/h to 160 t/h.
