The Precautions for Self Loading Transit Mixer
Apr 20, 2020
To ensure the normal use of self loading transit mixer, the operator should be familiar with its operating rules, which mainly covers the following four aspects:
1. Prevent the concrete from sticking on the tank
After unloading at the construction site, the hopper, discharge chute and the truck body should be flushed at once. On the way back to the mixing station, 150-200L water should be injected into the mixing drum to clean the concrete residue adhered to the drum wall and the blade.
After working every day, the driver should be responsible for pouring clean water into the mixing drum and rotating it at high speed (14-18 rpm) for 5-10 minutes, and then draining the water to ensure that the drum is clean.
When cleaning all parts of the mixing drum with high-pressure water, pay attention to avoid parts such as instruments and joysticks. The distance between the pressure water nozzle and the car body shall not be less than 40 cm.
2. Cleaning work
When you clean up the dirt and residual concrete inside and outside the mixing drum and when the mechanic enters the cylinder for maintenance and welding repair work, it is necessary to turn off the engine and wait for the complete stop of the mixing drum.
When the mechanic is inside the drum, it must be ensured that the mixing drum is well ventilated. There is no natural gas and harmful dust. When operating with electrical tools in the cylinder, the operator must have good insulation protection.
3. Protection tips
When the self loading mixer is working, don’t put extend your hand into the rotating mixing drum. It is strictly forbidden to extend your hand into the connection between the main discharge chute and the extended discharge chute to avoid accidents.
4. The pressure of the hydraulic system should comply with the provisions in the instruction manual of the self mixer, and it cannot be adjusted at will. The quality and quantity of hydraulic oil should meet the original requirements.
