Continuous Asphalt Plant VS Small Asphalt Batch Plant

Asphalt is in important material for highways construction. Asphalt mixing plant can be used to produce a variety of asphalt mixtures. According to different working model, there are generally two types: continuous asphalt plant and small asphalt batch plant.
Continuous asphalt plant is usually a asphalt drum mix plant, which adopts continuous and uninterrupted mixing. The heating and drying of the aggregate and the mixing of the mixture are carried out continuously in the same drum.
For asphalt batch plant, the heating and drying of the aggregate and the mixing of the mixture are performed periodically. The production cycle is for 45-60 seconds. The output depends on the specific model.
For small asphalt batch plant, each component( gravel, sand, powder,asphalt,etc.) is respectively measured in proportions and mixed in batches, that is batch measurement-batch feeding-batch mixing- batch discharging. The drying and heating of the cold aggregate and the mixing of the mixture are respectively carried out in two different assembly devices that are drying drum and asphalt mixer. The cold aggregate drying and heating method is flame countercurrent.
The production of continuous asphalt plant generally involves continuous and dynamic measurement of each component (gravel, sand, stone powder, asphalt, etc.) in proportion and continuous feeding and drum mixing, that is, continuous measuring- continuous feeding-continuous mixing-continuous discharging.
The aggregate is measured before drying and heating. Drying and heating of cold aggregate and mixing and stirring are carried out in the same assembly device (drying and mixing drum), and the method of drying and heating for cold aggregate is flame downstream.
During the production process, the amount of dust is greatly reduced, the pollution is small, and the production process is simplified. However, due to the downstream heating method, the thermal efficiency is relatively low, the residual water content of the finished mixture is difficult to control.
