Different Types of Concrete Batching Plant Cement Silos

The concrete batching plant cement silo is one of its key components. It is used to store and transport raw materials such as cement and fly ash, and its role is very large. Different types of cement silos have different characteristics and application scenarios.
Types of cement silos
The horizontal cement silo is low in height and has a rectangular structure. The cylinder wall is welded with steel plate. The cement silo discharge cone is composed of 3 to 6 discharge ports, and each discharge cone uses a butterfly valve to connect the spiral conveyor.
Vertical cement tanks have a small footprint and low cost, but their biggest disadvantage is the height problem. Due to the high height of vertical cement tanks, basic work must be done well, and measures such as wind, rain, lightning and electricity protection must be taken, which is particularly inconvenient for equipment repair and maintenance.
Sometimes the height and diameter of cement silos exceed the requirements of road transportation. For example, ordinary vehicles cannot load 5-meter diameter silos, and because tunnels, culverts, overpasses, etc. are impassable, cement silos can only be assembled or welded on site. Bolted cement silo is a new type of cement silo that is produced and processed in a modular manner and then transported to the construction site and assembled and connected with bolts for use.
Volume of cement silos
The unloading height of cement silos (cement tanks) is mostly 1.96 meters and 4.2 meters, and there are many capacity specifications, including 50t, 65t, 80t, 100t, 150t, 200t, 250t, 300t, 500t, etc., but they can also be processed and manufactured according to user needs.
Large cement tanks, such as 200T cement tanks, have a diameter of 4.5 meters and a height of 13 meters, 300T cement tanks have a diameter of 4.5 meters and a height of 17 meters, and 500T cement tanks have a diameter of 5.4 meters and a height of 19 meters. Such large cement tanks are inconvenient to transport. They are usually welded and installed after arriving at the site.
Numbers of cement silos to own
How many cement silos are needed to build a concrete mixing station? In fact, the number of cement silos is never fixed. Sometimes a small concrete mixing plant also needs to use multiple cement silos. Generally speaking, the choice of cement tanks should be determined based on the actual amount of materials required.
For most concrete batching plant owners, they choose vertical cement silos for its low cost. For small mobile concrete batching plants, they can be equipped with the horizontal cement silo for sale for high flexibility.
If the mixing station is far away from the cement manufacturer, the freight cost is high and the transportation time is long, then there must be a sufficient reserve of cement powder and several cement silos need to be prepared.
