How Does Different Types of Concrete Plant Silos Work

The concrete plant silo is suitable for the storage silo for bulk cement in engineering construction, commercial concrete mixing plant, road and bridge water conservancy projects, urban construction and other projects. It has the features of waterproof, moisture-proof, preventing cement loss, reducing urban air dust pollution, small footprint, long service life and low cost.
Vertical Cement Silo
The vertical cement silo is cylindrical and welded by high-strength steel plates. The components of the silo body include: silo body part, climbing ladder, guardrail, feeding pipe, dust collector, pressure safety valve, high and low material level gauge, discharge valve, etc. A pressure safety valve is designed on the top dust collector to prevent accidents.
The upper part is equipped with dust removal equipment to prevent dust leakage, and the lower part is equipped with a powder breaking device to prevent dust agglomeration and make powder discharge smoothly. The cement silo generally uses a bulk cement conveying vehicle to blow the powder into the silo.
Working principle
1. When the workers install cement silo, it must be erected by a special crane, then placed on the prefabricated concrete foundation, and the verticality of the cement silo after being erected is checked. Then weld its bottom firmly to the foundation embedded parts.
2. After the bulk cement silo is fixed, the cement is transported to the construction site by the concrete mixer truck and the conveying pipeline of the bulk cement truck is connected with the feeding pipeline of the cement silo. The cement in the tank is transported to the cement silo.
3. In the process of transporting cement into the concrete plant silo, the operator should continuously press the button of the vibration motor of the dust collector to shake off the cement attached to the bag of the dust collector, so as to prevent the bag from being blocked and the warehouse bursting.
4. Once the cloth bag is blocked, the pressure in the warehouse exceeds the safety pressure of the pressure safety valve on the top of the warehouse, and the pressure safety valve can be opened to release the pressure in the warehouse to prevent the occurrence of explosion accidents.
5. The full and lack of materials can be observed through the high and low material levels.
6. When the cement conveying device fails, first close the manual discharge valve at the bottom of the cone to prevent the cement from overflowing and causing waste.
Horizontal Cement Silo
The portable concrete silo is a square body with a low overall height. Due to the foundation-free design, installation and disassembly are convenient, which can greatly shorten foundation cost and time.
The bottom of the silo is supported by several legs. The discharge cone is a square cone. The silo body is welded by a frame composed of corrugated boards and profiles. The discharge screw is connected under the square cone, and the dust collector and the safety valve are placed on the bin body. At the same time, a load sensor can be installed to accurately reflect the weight of the cement in the warehouse, and plays a role in controlling the amount of cement.
Working principle
The portable concrete silo has two material conveying methods according to the design requirements. One is to convey the cement through a screw conveyor, and the other is to use pneumatic conveying to transport the cement into the powder metering system for metering. When the horizontal cement silo is in operation, it is necessary to check whether the line is connected. When the bulk cement truck is unloading cement, it needs to vibrate for two to three minutes in advance.
